About Mitz

Joint initiative

Mitz is a joint initiative by care providers in the Netherlands and is supported by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.

Care providers want to give patients and clients more control and insight into how their medical data is shared. To that end, they jointly established the foundation that manages Mitz: Stichting GVvZ (foundation for shared healthcare communication facilities). Doing this jointly, in one place, makes it more accessible and convenient for patients and clients.

VZVZ (Association of Care Providers for Healthcare Communication) works on behalf of Stichting GVvZ to ensure that Mitz works properly.
